JANINE TUCKER, Head Coach, Johns Hopkins Women’s Lacrosse
The all-time winningest coach at Johns Hopkins with a 295-164 record in 27 seasons.
Took over the Blue Jay women's lacrosse program in August 1993 and successfully guided the program's transition from Division III to Division I.
A five-time IWLCA Regional Coach of the Year.
A 1989 graduate of Loyola (MD) and a member of the Greyhounds Athletic Hall of Fame.
Member of the Greater Baltimore Chapter of US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
The 9th coach in NCAA Division I history to reach 250 wins – she is 5 wins shy of 300.
Tucker has coached 29 IWLCA All-Americans, one IWLCA Defensive Player of the Year and one Attacker of the Year, two CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, four Centennial Conference Players of the Year, two ALC Rookies of the Year, 68 IWLCA All-Region selections and 87 all-conference selections. In addition, ten of her former players have been inducted into the Johns Hopkins Athletic Hall of Fame.

Tucker recently completed a “Lacrosse and Life” journal project sponsored by Under Armour geared toward helping coaches and players of all ages create a healthy and positive team culture in their respective programs.
Is the director of Tucker Lacrosse, LLC, which helps promote women’s lacrosse through camps, clinics and speaking engagements across the country.
Coach Tucker is the National Director for the Trilogy Future Aces East Camp focused on teaching and developing lacrosse and leadership skills in middle school girls.
Tucker is on the Board of Directors of the Collegiate Women’s Lacrosse Officiating Association. She is co-chair of the CWLOA Conflict Review Committee.
A member of the Harlem Lacrosse – Baltimore Advisory Board, Tucker and her team are heavily involved with mentoring at-risk middle school girls in Baltimore through the sport of lacrosse.
A member of the US Lacrosse Athlete Development Committee, and the National Board of Advisors for the Positive Coaching Alliance, Tucker is dedicated to growing the game through positive and constructive coaching and mentoring.
